Questioning where to eat in Tulum, Mexico? After talking to a few local people, Charo found that the place to go is Antojitos La Chiapaneca. We didn’t want to research through the net. After all, we want places suggested by locals. If they cannot vouch for it, we don’t want to eat there.

If there is one thing you have to try is the tacos pastor. Amazingly good. You couldn’t go wrong with anything on the menu that was pastor.

We all sat down after an exhausting day and Charo ordered away for us all. We tried a little bit of everything. It was amazingly tasty. The boys loved the cheese quesadillas and empanadas, while Daniela couldn’t get enough of the guacamole and El pastor meat.

The price was also amazingly affordable. After conversion, my family of 5 ate there for about 15 USD. We can’t even do pizza back home for that fantastic price.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience that night. So what do you do when you enjoy it so much?

You go back the next night, this time with family!

To top it off, we ended up going there all three nights we were in Tulum. Charo grabbed a few tacos and empanadas to eat before we got on our bus to Mahahual. Three nights, three dinners there. I don’t think you can pay a higher compliment to a place. Sorry to the rest of the restaurants in Tulum, but when you find a place this good, you go with it!

Thanks for reading and happy adventuring.
